After almost dying in a motorbike crash in Thailand this past April, I caught a flight to Hong Kong to see my good friends Raquel and Keegan who have been teaching there over the past year. Before I even landed, these guys came to take me straight to a hospital and made sure I lived to tell the tale.
Raquel actually grew up living near a buddhist monastery in Hong Kong, so (in between hospital visits) we had the most amazing time wandering around her childhood neighborhoods, exploring the markets and temples, and eating more noodles and dumplings (and squid) than I thought possible. I owe these guys big time for how much fun we had in such a short trip.
These photographs were made over the week that I stayed with Raquel and Keegan around Stanley Bay and at the top of Victoria Peak to celebrate their engagement before their wedding in Virginia this fall. *I'll be sharing more from Mong Kok Market and our favorite Dim Sum establishment in part ii of this post coming soon*
